What's been brewing in Lockdown?

Posted by Zachary Skerritt on

Operating a small brewpub during a lockdown is a tricky business. We don't have a large-scale packaging line, so in-house packaging takes time.  Beer doesn't move out the door as quickly and you can't charge as much for it despite needing to absorb packaging and delivery costs. If the beer doesn't move, we can't empty our cool room or our kegs.  If we can't do that we can't empty our tanks, and if we can't empty our tanks we can't refill them. Despite all this we've got some fresh stuff on the horizon - if only because we've got to keep Calvin busy!

Primed and ready to go - just waiting for space on the shelf!:

  • Single keg of Pebbles Porter - our nitro'd peanut butter porter.  We've worked out we can reliably bottle nitro beers, so there's no need to hold this bad boy back anymore!
  • Single keg of Kölsch - yummy yummy german lager-like ale
  • Single keg of Corn Jalapeño Kölsch - as requested by our 100 pint club grad Graeme
  • Malty Stout - delicious winter stout that we have no idea what we are going to do with.

Coming through the pipeline we have brewed up a big batches of:

  • Märzen - Malty german-style lager - Oktoberfest good times at home here we come!
  • El Jefe - The boss is back! A refreshing hefeweizen for Oktoberfest good times at home here we come!

We also have been working Pisco our single keg pilot system pretty hard and will have the following coming through the lines soon:

  • 3 unique Hazy IPAs (yes, that is three unique ones)
  • a "hazeweizen" (something we sort-of made up - so patent is sort-of pending) something in between a hefeweizen and a hazy.
  • 2 kegs of Blue Boss - our nitro'd blueberry hefeweizen.

So keep an eye on our social media for announcements!
