Hops are Topaz, Enigma and Vic Secret. This is a bit of an old school pale ale, not designed to be a modern crowd pleaser, but more a homage to pales ales from the 2000-2010 era. Using all australian hops we get aromas of grass, dried apricot and resin. The first taste is fruit flavours of plum, red currant, and bitter orange. This is backed by a beer-y bitterness and grassy element with a malt profile that supports, but does not demand attention - just a touch of caramel. A decent bitterness brings some balance. This is a beer that grows on you with each sip rather than being love at first bite.
