2019 Barrel-aged Russian Imperial Stout - 9.5% ABV - 750mL bottle - 5.6 Standard Drinks
This rich strong stout has been barrel-aged for six months in freshly emptied rye whisky barrels from across the street. Specifically the barrels are from the original Solera Rye whiskey from Melbourne's very own whisky distillery The Gospel and one day they literally rolled them across the street and asked if we wanted them. This beer is meant to be a journey, so sip slowly and let it warm up a bit to bring out the chocolate and coffee flavours from the roasted malts, as well as massive port vibes and a subtle rye spiciness.
Quite fittingly it is also our 100th beer ever released. This was always the plan... totally 100% was all part of a grand strategic marketing strategy. Yep.
